Rosie's Love was formed in 2000 and since that time has dedicated its efforts to children in the Capital Region community who have cancer and other life threatening illnesses such as sickle cell anemia.
Rosie's Love is a restricted fund dedicated exclusively to helping the children and families served by the Center for Childhood Cancer and Blood Disorders at the Children's Hospital at Albany Medical Center. Rosie's Love relies on the generosity of individuals and corporations for money and publicity. Fundraising events can range from a bake sale or car wash to a marathon. Your "sponsorship" can remain anonymous or it can be proudly displayed at the event.
There are minimal overhead costs associated with the operation of Rosie's Love. For this reason almost 100 percent of the money donated and raised through fund-raisers for Rosie's Love goes back to patients of Albany Medical Center and their families. The organization sponsors various fund raisers during the year.
If your company, group or club would like to financially "sponsor" a family activity or event to raise money please contact Pat Hedgeman at rosieslove@verizon.net or call at 869-0876.
