Getting Involved

To volunteer or get involved in Rosie's Love any individual or organization is requested to contact Patricia Hedgeman at 869-0876 or 448-LOVE. Pat can also be contacted at the following e-mail address rosieslove@verizon.net

Rosie's Love is interested in working with any individual or organization who would like to sponsor a fundraiser or other special event. Examples include "fun runs" or sponsoring a food collection activity. We are also interested in receiving toy donations which will be provided to children at Albany Medical Center during our Christmas Holiday Shop event.

Currently Rosie's Love is requesting donations for nonperishable food goods, toys, teddy ears and other items for our Hakuna Matata retreats. Hakuna Matata means "no worries". Each year Rosie's Love rents a cabin for the spring and summer season and sends an entire family for a week of ... NO WORRIES.

This year we have rented the "White House" at Dagget Lake from May thru October. Visit the "White House" at www.daggettlake.comPlease see our wish list.

Other Examples of Financial Giving:

• One school in the area sponsored an event where any child who wanted to wear wear a hat to school for that day was allowed to ... at a cost of 50 cents. The money raised went to Rosie's Love and was used to purchase needed items.
  
  
• A Brownie troop donated Girl Scout cookies to us that we provided to families who were caring for children undergoing chemotherapy treatments. We also used the cookies at a recent Hakuna Matata event.
