8th Annual Golf Tourney - Four Man Scramble Golf Tournament to Benefit Rosie’s Love is Set For July 21st, 8:30am Shotgun Start Van Patten Golf Course, Clifton Park.

This annual event is one of our organizations largest fund raisers and we would greatly appreciate your continued support. Each and every year the event seems to get bigger and better. All who participate are guaranteed a great deal of fun and at the end of the day ... can feel good about knowing all are making a real difference in the lives of many children and families in the Capital District. Rosie's Love provides emotional and financial support to children and their families when they receive a diagnoses of a life threatening illness and are undergoing treatment at The Center for Childhood Cancer and Blood Disorders at the Children's Hospital at Albany Medical Center. Rosie's Love is a restricted fund dedicated exclusively to helping the children and families served by the Children's Hospital at Albany Medical Center. Rosie's Love is committed to providing our support to those who need help. Our organization provides patients and family members a variety of services during hospitalization, home rehabilitation and clinic visits including:

• Sponsoring family retreat weekends at the Double H - Hole in the Woods Camp located in Lake Luzerne New York;



• Purchasing TV/VCR's, videos, games systems, laptop computers for the children to use during their treatment at Albany Medical Center;



• Providing meals to hospitalized children and their families during holidays;

• Sponsoring Holiday Gift Shops at the "Clinic" with free gifts to both hospitalized children and those undergoing continued treatment at the Center for Childhood Cancer and Blood Disorders;



• Bringing coffee and donuts each Sunday to hospital inpatients and family members; and



• Giving Kimo bears for newly diagnosed children.

• Hakuna Matata means "no worries". Each year Rosie's Love rents a cabin for the spring and summer season and sends an entire family for a week of ... NO WORRIES. This year we have rented the "White House" at Dagget Lake from May 23rd thru October 12, 2008. Visit the "White House" at www.daggettlake.com

• Annual Golf Tournament - Mark your calendars, the Rosie's Love annual golf tournament to benefit children battling cancer and their families is set for July 21st, 2008 at Van Patten Golf Course, Clifton Park. The event is attended by more than 150 golfers each year. Sign-up Sheet Click Here

• Run For Children Charity Event - Sponsored by a number of organizations to benefit Rosie's Love and other Capital District charitable organizations including: St. Catherine's Center for Children; and the Capital District Pop Warner "Challenger Flag Football League".
  
  The run was held Saturday, September 8, 2007 at the Crossings Park in Colonie.

• Fall Round Up at Double H - Hole in the Woods Ranch - Each year the Rosie's Love hosts special getaway weekends for children and their families. This event is hosted at the Double H - Hole In The Woods Ranch located in Lake Luzerne. This year the Fall Round Up occurred from September 12th thru September 14, 2008. • Remembrance Services at Double H Camp - A Memorial Service has been scheduled to remember each child who has passed away. The next service will be September 19 - 21, 2008 at the Double H Camp Chapel.
